Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
- Morning/Afternoon: Arrive in Lhasa and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Rest and gently acclimatize to the 3,656 m altitude.
- Evening: Savor a curated Tibetan dinner, then relax at your hotel.
Day 2: Sacred Lhasa
- Morning: Explore the majestic Potala Palace — former winter residence of the Dalai Lamas — with its golden roofs, sacred chapels, and panoramic views.
- Afternoon: Immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Tibet at Jokhang Temple and walk the ancient Barkhor pilgrimage circuit among prostrating pilgrims and swirling incense.
- Evening: Return to your hotel to unwind.
Day 3: Lhasa → Baingoin
- Morning: Depart Lhasa on a spectacular high-altitude drive, stopping to admire the shimmering turquoise beauty of sacred Yamdrok Lake.
- Afternoon: Cross high passes and vast grasslands to reach the remote northern county of Baingoin (approx. 4,700 m).
- Evening: Settle into your comfortable hotel beneath an endless star-filled sky.
Day 4: Baingoing → Wenbunan
- Morning: Journey deeper into northern Tibet’s wild landscapes of rolling plains and distant snow peaks.
- Afternoon: Arrive at the beautifully preserved traditional village of Wenbunan and visit its hidden ancient monastery tucked in a serene valley — a rarely visited sanctuary of prayer flags and centuries-old Buddhist heritage.
- Evening: Check into your hotel or guesthouse and soak in the profound peace of remote Tibetan life.
Day 5: Wenbunan Area Exploration
- Full day: Spend a day to explore this incredible area, relaxing and immersing yourself in the natural charm of this secluded nest.
Day 6: Wenbunan → Gerze
- Morning: Begin one of the most remote overland stretches in Tibet, crossing vast, uninhabited plateaus where nomadic herders and wild antelopes roam.
- Afternoon: Continue through dramatic high-altitude wilderness toward Gerze, gateway to the far north-west.
- Evening: Arrive in Gerze and settle into your hotel. Step outside for some of the clearest, most dazzling stargazing on the planet.
Day 7: Gerze → Shiquanhe
- Morning: Drive westward across the endless Changthang wilderness, where the horizon stretches unbroken in every direction.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Shiquanhe, the administrative heart of Ngari Prefecture and gateway to sacred Kailash. Visit the Ali Museum or simply absorb the frontier-town atmosphere.
- Evening: Check into your hotel and relax.
Day 8: Shiquanhe → Lhasa
- Morning: Transfer to Kunsha Airport for your scenic morning flight back over the Himalayas to Lhasa.
- Afternoon/Evening: Upon landing in Lhasa, enjoy free time for last-minute shopping or quiet reflection. Private transfer to Lhasa Airport for your flight.

Nestled in the northwestern part of Tibet at an elevation of approximately 4,500 meters, Gerze is a remote county in Ngari Prefecture known for its pristine high-altitude wilderness. This sparsely populated region features vast grasslands, snow-capped peaks, and numerous sacred lakes that reflect the deep blue Tibetan sky.

Explore the beautiful natural scenery and rich wildlife, making this place a good choice if you are willing to take a 5 km one-way hike starting from Gerze Town.

Shiquanhe (狮泉河)
Located in Ngari Prefecture in western Tibet, Shiquanhe (also known as Ali) stands at an impressive elevation of 4,250 meters. As the administrative center of Ngari, this frontier town is situated at the confluence of the Gar and Indus Rivers, serving as an important gateway to sacred Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Shiquanhe also marks the beginning of the North Ali Road, a route crossing untamed landscapes inhabited by shepard nomads.
